Since 2017 hasn’t seemed to improve much upon 2016 so far, and since it’s still wintertime, here are 12 reasons to watch (or re-watch) Yuri on Ice.
2016 did not go well for many of us for a myriad of reasons. We’re now two months into 2017, and things really don’t seem to be improving for many. Although there’s something to be said for going out and participating in civic life, sometimes what you really need is time to relax and watch something. This week, we’re recommending Yuri on Ice.
Yours truly has already written on this subject before, back in 2016, and will freely admit that she used some of those same reasons here. That’s because they’re really good reasons to watch the show.
Besides, what better way to help you get through a winter without any Olympic Games than to watch something about figure skating? Sure, you could watch real figure skating, but that sometimes requires being up at all hours. You can watch Yuri Katsuki, Victor Nikiforov, and Yuri Plisetsky any time.
Besides, you can find both the English version and the Japanese original online for free, via Funimation for the former and Crunchyroll for the latter.
