Best Pop Solo Performance

Best Pop Solo Performance is another insane category. “Hello” and “Love Yourself” were both nominated for “Song of the Year” plus, Beyoncé is in this category. So who will walk away with the award?

The Nominees

“Hello” — Adele
“Hold Up” — Beyonce
“Love Yourself” — Justin Bieber
“Piece By Piece (Idol Version)” — Kelly Clarkson
“Dangerous Woman” — Ariana Grande

Who Could Upset?

We think Adele is likely to win this one, but Kelly Clarkson’s emotional performance of “Piece by Piece” just might be the upset. And who would really be upset if Kelly won this one? Not a single person who has listened to her live version of “Piece by Piece” can say it wouldn’t be a deserved win. Heck, I’m kinda hoping it happens.

Best Pop Duo/Group Performance

“Closer” by The Chainsmokers and Halsey was one of the most popular songs of the year and The Chainsmokers are nominated for Best New Artist so they’re clearly an option. Rihanna and Drake’s “Work” and Twenty One Pilots “Stressed Out” are both nominated for Record of the Year. Who will take this one home?

The Nominees

“Closer” — The Chainsmokers Featuring Halsey
“7 Years” — Lukas Graham
“Work” — Rihanna Featuring Drake
“Cheap Thrills” — Sia Featuring Sean Paul
“Stressed Out” — Twenty One Pilots

Who Could Upset?

We think The Chainsmokers are likely to win this one but Rihanna and Drake’s “Work” would be an amazing upset. Overall, Rihanna has been overlooked for her album Anti this Grammy season. So maybe she could take an award home for this deserving jam with Drake. It wouldn’t be that upsetting honestly.
