Caturday Blogging: Spend Valentine’s Day with Simon’s Cat (Or Your Cat)
By Buckie Wells
As Valentine’s Day approaches and we ignore the merits of a holiday based on love and affection, we give attention to the most loving animals around: Cats.
It’s that time of year again. Suddenly, everything turns pink and there are flowers everywhere. People come up and ask you what your special plans are. Of course, if you’re like me, you immediately start with your contrarian speech about what a fake holiday Valentine’s day is and how you lucky you are to be with someone who shares your values. But some people do like Valentine’s Day — like Ashton Kutcher — and a lot of people are still looking for love.

Check it out below and prepare to be amazed:
And just for giggles, I give you “Dinner Date.” In this video, Simon’s cat helps him unpack the groceries. The video ends when the cat faces one of the feline’s sworn enemies and fiercest foes, the cucumber.

Here’s “Dinner Date: Starters”:
Obviously, it doesn’t matter whether you’re for or against the entire concept of Valentine’s Day. What it boils down to is how you treat people and your loved ones just in general. Sometimes, it’s nice just to bring them a rat every now and again.
