The New Synopsis for Justice League Reveals Nothing, Eases No Worries
By Buckie Wells
As the DC Extended Universe prepares to assemble the Justice League, it seems like this will be the last movie that Warner Bros. can squeeze out.
Let’s face the facts: Warner Bros. cannot get their act together. They just cannot figure out how to handle their DC Extended Universe films. They either A) can’t keep a director or B) can’t settle on a script or C) give the audience a film that is accepted by the majority.
So far, Batman’s only success is accomplishing all three of these things at once.
For whatever reason, whether it’s company loyalty or not, the upcoming slate of DCEU movies looks really thin after this November’s Justice League. Of course, there are several ideas on the horizon. But Warner Bros. can’t seem to execute them in a satisfying way. Gotham City Sirens? Great idea. David Ayer’s Gotham City Sirens? Not so much.
But before we get ahead ourselves and throw in the towel (as a DC fanatic, one more straw may very well break my back), 2017 will see the release of two more films: Wonder Woman and Justice League.
Now, Wonder Woman carries the potential to be an incredible film. But we don’t even know what’s happening with the Justice League. Admittedly, we’ve seen some photos here and there. But unless you like tiny robotic hips, then these photos aren’t exactly your new desktop wallpaper.
According to the new synopsis, the above photo makes me feel like they’re all looking at Steppenwolf. But it also looks like a scene from Guardians of the Galaxy when the board Ronan’s ship.
Unfortunately, the photo doesn’t seem special and neither does the synopsis:
"In the wake of Clark Kent/Superman’s (Cavill) death at the hands of Doomsday in BvS, vigilante Bruce Wayne/Batman (Affleck) reevaluates his extreme methods and begins reaching out to extraordinary heroes to assemble a team of crime-fighters to defend earth from all kinds of threats. Together with Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gadot), Batman seeks out cybernetically enhanced former college football star Vic Stone/Cyborg (Fisher), speedster Barry Allen/The Flash (Miller) and Atlantean warrior king Arthur Curry/Aquaman (Momoa). They face off against Steppenwolf (Hinds), the herald and second-in-command to alien warlord Darkseld, who is charged by Darkseid with hunting down three artefacts hidden on earth."
This synopsis comes from a magazine and may not be the most official thing on the planet. Though, it still makes me feel like this movie is far from ready. I mean, we haven’t even seen a trailer yet!
(Gal Gadot promises we’ll see one soon. Go ahead and cling to that.)

Let’s assume the “artifacts” in question are the mother boxes and just go back to laughing about “Sad Affleck” losing his director’s credit on The Batman now.
Justice League opens in theaters on Nov. 17 later this year. Maybe.
