Best Music Video

Here’s a category where Beyoncé has no competition from Adele. However, she does have competition from the OK Go guys who notoriously make some of the most amazing music videos. But is going zero gravity enough to beat Beyoncé’s iconic video for “Formation”? When you’re in a category against Beyoncé at the Grammy’s, you’re probably assuming she’s gonna win no matter what. So, will she?

The Nominees

“Formation” — Beyoncé
“River” — Leon Bridges
“Up & Up” — Coldplay
“Gosh” — Jamie XX
“Upside Down & Inside Out” — OK Go

Who Will Win

Beyoncé will hands down, no other option, win this award. Not only was “Formation” the best video of 2016, but potentially the best video of the decade. In a year where we needed to get in formation more than ever, Beyoncé provided an anthem and reminder that “we slay”. The video expertly combines beauty, political commentary, and adorable children. So yeah, Beyoncé is gonna slay this award.

Best New Artist

The category for Best New Artist could be a spot for an upset this year. The two country nominees (Ballerini and Morris) will probably split the vote. And there’s a chance that Anderson .Paak and Chance The Rapper could as well. So who will win?

The Nominees

Kelsea Ballerini
The Chainsmokers
Chance The Rapper
Maren Morris
Anderson .Paak

Who Will Win

The Chainsmokers will likely take this one home. They have a nominated song “Closer” with Halsey and seem to be the obvious choice when it comes to popularity. And if the others in the group split the vote, they’re the ones left standing.
