On last night’s episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, he used his “A Closer Look” segment to call out Democrats to do more. Watch the video below.
You know all the James and Jimmies, and you’ve probably heard of Samantha Bee by now. But there’s still one more late night talk show host who is flying under the radar and dropping truth bombs wherever he can. As the antithesis of Jimmy “Just because I made jokes with Donald Trump and gave him a lot of airtime doesn’t mean I’m directly responsible for the fall of America” Fallon, Seth Meyers came onto the late night scene in 2014, with a contract that runs all the way through 2021. Because guess what? Americans are going to need more truth and less cosplay.
In the “A Closer Look” segment, Late Night with Seth Meyers began by skewering the administration about the “nuts of Trump” that caused Sean Spicer and the media to freak about whether Donald Trump owns a bathrobe. (The answer is they’re all probably monogrammed.)
Afterward, Meyers explained that Trump’s administration is diligently repealing “Obama Era” policies. So, what are the Democrats doing in response? Well, they march and they speak up. While comparing DeVos’ confirmation to a bus driver learning to drive with a busload of kids, Meyers said that “sixty-percent of Americans support the Women’s March”.
And followed up with:
"“But Democrats have to do more than just be against things. They also have to have something to offer to Americans who were so desperate for change that they voted for Donald Trump. Now, some Democrats do seem interested in acknowledging that their party lost touch with the working class, a point that Elizabeth Warren made on Saturday.”"
Meyers continued by calling Democrats the Atlanta Falcons post-halftime, ball-droppers and the Pussycat Dolls who haven’t had a hit in a long, long time. Because of this, it may be time for new leadership because Nancy Pelosi doesn’t seem to remember we’re no longer under a Bush administration.

The point Meyers was trying to make is that Democrats need to unite and remain diligent … because Obama’s never coming back. Obviously, he’s having too much fun on his vacation.
