10 Worst Grammy Winners of All-Time
8. Two Against Nature by Steely Dan in 2001
Of all the albums they’ve put out, of all the great songs we still sing and love by them, did you know that Radiohead has never won for Best Album? In Rainbows, Kid A, and OK Computer were all nominated but none of them have won.
Instead, Steely Dan beat Kid A. Why? Your guess is as good as mine. And I even looked up all the tracks to see if there was some magical track on Two Against Nature that justifies its win. But no, nothing sticks out. And Kid A had “How to Disappear Completely” on it!
To top it off, the Steely Dan win also beat out Eminem for his album The Marshall Mathers LP that had “The Real Slim Shady” on it. It honestly just felt like the Grammy voters giving it to Steely Dan because a lot of people like them. Not because the album had any decent tracks on it.
It might seem harsh but when you look at the greater picture, most of us couldn’t name a single Steely Dan song. We could probably name someone who is a random fan of the band but an actual song? No way. If you ask the same of Radiohead or Eminem, most everyone could list multiple songs by the artists.
