As we prepare for the 59th Annual Grammy Music Awards, we turn our attention to Grammys of years past and pick the 10 best Grammys winners of all time.
The Grammys are a very special time of the year for anyone who has ears. It’s not just for people who like music or Beyonce. In fact, they’ve been the place for all-out performances for much longer than Beyonce’s even been alive!
According to the official site,
"“A GRAMMY is awarded by The Recording Academy’s voting membership to honor excellence in the recording arts and sciences. It is truly a peer honor, awarded by and to artists and technical professionals for artistic or technical achievement, not sales or chart position.”"
Of course, this means that if Sturgill Simpson’s A Sailor’s Guide To Earth wins for Album of the Year, then it was meant to be. I hope nobody gets mad but “All Around You” is one of the best tracks of all time. And I’m not just saying that because I’m a big Sturgill Simpson fan.
As I look at the full list of nominees, it seems like it’s going to be a race between Beyonce, Adele and Justin Bieber. But only one of these three artists made our list of Top 10 Best Album of the Year winners. (Although, here’s a hint: only one of the three aforementioned artists has ever even won.) If you’re up to date on your Grammys trivia, then you know who I’m talking about.
