Bourbon Baked Brie

Brie might seem like a decadent ingredient. It’s really just cheese, though. Delicious, melty, creamy luscious cheese that you need to try if you have not already. Think of gooey, melty cheese, baked in a flaky pastry shell, topped with bourbon-glazed pecans. It sounds like heaven on a plate, but also a ton of work. It isn’t though. Don’t be intimidated! This is still an easy recipe.

Bourbon baked brie looks difficult, but it isn’t. This recipe is from Pillsbury, and it calls for their refrigerated crescent roll dough. No baking on your part. Simple, yet impressive!

  • chopped pecans
  • dark brown sugar
  • bourbon whiskey
  • Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • a round of Brie cheese
  • egg

Yes, you do see apple slices in the picture above. It’s a serving suggestion, and a very excellent one. I don’t know what kind they’re using, but I would use something like Granny Smith, not a sweet apple. The fresh crunch of tart apples is the perfect foil for rich, nutty brie and sweet, glazed pecans. And bourbon plays so well with the rest of the band. You really can’t go wrong here with this Grammy party snack.
