13 Easy Boozy Snacks For Your Grammy Award-Watching Party
Queso Flameado
Fire is so rock n roll, as is tequila. They’re perfect ingredients for a Grammy snack. Marry them with cheese, and you get queso flameado. It sounds like a snack Sokka might have bought when the Last Airbender gang was trying to disguise themselves as Fire Nation kids. Flameo, hotman!
Queso flameado is flaming cheese. The fire part comes from the flammable tequila. You get to light tequila on fire on purpose! The ingredients for queso flameado are quite straightforward:
- cooked chorizo (optional)
- green chilies
- Jack cheese
- tequila (not optional)
Not even salt, you ask? Cheese is salty enough, my dude. It’s a perfect food all by itself, partly because of the salt, but also because it plays so well with others. Like chilies and tequila. Sure, go for the sausage. I will skip it, so as not to drown out the lead singer, cheese.
As far as the chilies, the recipe asks for canned. If you can get fresh green chilies, though, by all means use them instead! Or use both. Some like it hot, they say.
Chips are the best vehicle for this adult dip, but no one would blame you if you scooped up half the dish with a tortilla and stuffed it in your face hole. Just try not to burn your tongue.
