Boozy Bloody Mary Tomato Bombs and Spiked Watermelon Balls

To start out, here are two super easy recipes: Boozy Bloody Mary Tomato Bombs and Spiked Watermelon Balls. Neither requires cooking. You just soak your fruits (tomatoes are a fruit) in alcohol and eat them.

The ingredients for Boozy Bloody Mary Tomato Bombs include:

  • cherry or grape tomatoes
  • vodka (regular, cucumber or pepper flavored)
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • hot sauce
  • lemon pepper
  • celery salt

If you don’t have or don’t want to buy lemon pepper, use regular ground pepper (grind it yourself please) and an equal amount of lemon zest. If you can’t find celery salt, regular sea salt is perfectly delicious. You can even use Lawry’s seasoned salt. (I love that stuff. I put in on pasta with a little olive oil and it’s great.)

They call for Frank’s hot sauce, but, seriously, you don’t go around telling people what brand of hot sauce they have to use. That is personal. I would use, Crystal the Cristal of hot sauces, IMnotHO.

The fine folks at the Watermelon Board have their own tasty take on the booze-infused bite sized snack that would pair great with the bloody mary bombs. I know watermelon isn’t exactly in season in February, but if you live somewhere you can find some, try out these rum-spiked watermelon balls.

  • small watermelon
  • light rum
  • sugar
  • fresh squeezed lime juice
  • grated lime peel

Serve both boozy balls with chunks of briny feta cheese for Grammy party perfection.
