VEEP to Return to HBO on April 16 for its Sixth Season with Ten Episodes

For all those VEEP fans out there, the wait isn’t too much longer. Season 6 of the show is hitting HBO this April, and we’re extremely excited!

VEEP is coming back this April and fans all over the world are excited. For those who have never watched the Emmy-Award winning show, it is based on the Vice President Selina Meyer (and eventual President Selina Meyer) and her struggle with politics.

For those who have seen the show The Thick of It, it is the American version. Granted, Selina is more the Malcom Tucker of this show but if you want In the Loop, Amy even makes an appearance with a couple of our other VEEP favorites!

According to a press release from HBO, it states the cast as pretty much the same cast from last season.

VEEP stars Emmy® winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus as former vice president and president Selina Meyer. The cast also includes Emmy® winner Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Reid Scott, Matt Walsh, Timothy Simons, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole and Sam Richardson. Dave Mandel, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Frank Rich, Lew Morton and Morgan Sackett executive produce.”

So whether that means everyone is coming back to the show or not, we’ll have to wait and see. But at least we know who HBO sees as their big players for the show. Hugh Laurie (who played Tom James) is not listed among the cast.

Fans can see star Julia Louis-Dreyfus announcing the airdate below! And believe us, we’re excited about it!
