Donald Trump Doesn’t Like That Melissa McCarthy Played Spicer
Sexism is alive and well in the Trump administration as Donald didn’t like that Melissa McCarthy played Sean Spicer. Because she was a woman.
Remember when everyone said that the Trump administration wouldn’t be bad for women? Well, tell that to Melissa McCarthy. Actually, tell that to any of us because it is pretty bad. But Saturday, Melissa starred as Sean Spicer in a sketch on Saturday Night Live.
You’d think the White House would have a problem with the depiction because it literally shows him ramming the podium into reporters. But no. The problem the White House has with the performance? It’s done by a woman in drag.
According to Politico, “More than being lampooned as a press secretary who makes up facts, it was Spicer’s portrayal by a woman that was most problematic in the president’s eyes, according to sources close to him.”
You know what that means? That our sexist president couldn’t handle the fact that a woman was portraying a man. Guess he hasn’t seen I’m Not There because he’d hate Cate Blanchett’s performance as Bob Dylan.
The worst part about the whole thing is that that is what he’s stuck on. Not the accurate depiction of his press secretary. He’s too busy getting caught up on the fact that a woman would dare try and portray a man.
So here is what I’m proposing: Rosie O’Donnell as Trump, Annette Bening (others have said Ellen) as Mike Pence, and Glenn Close as Putin. Let’s make Donald Trump as angry as possible.
