Treat yourself
Despite what you may think, it is indeed okay to treat yourself every once in awhile. Buy those chocolates you’ve been salivating over. That handbag you’ve been eyeing, that pair of shoes you’ve been begging for – whatever it may be, treat yourself. Set limits if you must – one item a month, or a certain price limit – but indulge in your materialistic desires here and there. There is no shame in that, and whether it be for a mere minute or hour, if it makes you feel just a little better, it’s worth it in this day in age. For every $20 to the ACLU, allow yourself $10 to indulge. We promise, a little goes a long way.
Want to keep yourself on a monthly budget without going out spending at will? Check out any of the monthly subscription services that are out there and sign yourself up. For fans (men and women) of beauty products, try Birchbox for $10/month. More of a music fan? Try VNYL with plans starting at $35/month, which sends 3 records a month tailored to your music tastes. For those with more of a sweet tooth, there’s Treatsie at just under $20/month, or even the Craft Beer Club for beer enthusiasts. Safe to say, whatever your tastes are, there’s a way to treat them.
So what’s stopping you?
