Everybody is always falling all over themselves over Jax Teller, but that’s a huge disservice to the rugged, yet sensitive Opie Winston. Sure, wasn’t the head of the MC, or Samcro royalty, but he was made of good stuff. Excellent stuff, in fact.

He spent 5 years in prison, and came home to a wife and two children that he barely knew anymore. He worked his ass off to provide for them and make a good home for them the best way he could. He was a dedicated provider and he made it his top priority to give his family what they deserved. Despite Opie’s best efforts to protect his wife, Donna, she met a terrible end.

Her death took a major toll on Opie’s sensitive heart, and he was never the same after that. His broken spirit, in addition to those tattoos, beard, and leather vest, made him irritable to women. His sad eyes and stoic grief was like catnip to the ladies, and every stripper within 100 miles was clamoring to take care of him.

Eventually, Opie died for the club in prison – beaten to death by rival inmates. It was a terrible way for such a tender heart to die. He left his two children without any parents -beside his dancer stepmommy.
