Jess Mariano –Gilmore Girls
Whether or not you’re team Jess, team Dean, or team Logan, you can’t deny Jess Mariano’s potential for being an awesome boyfriend. With that incredulous smirk and head full of glorious hair, the potential is endless.
He’s about as bad boy as I like to get, and could walk the line better than any of Rory’s other beaux. Sure, he never caused any real mayhem – aside from a little disrespect aimed at his uncle Luke – but he was quick with a sarcastic comeback and snarky eyeroll. He was a little risky without being dangerous, which makes him a good fit for Rory’s rebellious phase, such as it was.
Not only was Jess just a tad punk and a smidge rock n’ roll, he had that whole “tortured artist” thing going for him. As a writer, he was super in touch with his feelings, even though he didn’t really know how to communicate those. Frustrating yes, but also kind of touching. He made you want to work a little harder to get to know him, but once you did… boy was there a payoff.
