On Twitter anymore, J.K Rowling is not holding back but she had a particularly good call out recently when a fan brough up Nicolas Flamel.
Recently on Twitter, J.K Rowling has taken to not letting people talk to her like she wasn’t a real person. The problem with most people is that they can say whatever they want to celebrities with no repercussions.
Rowling is showing them one tweet at a time that she isn’t one to be messed with. Most recently, a fan tried to say that Rowling wrote the Harry Potter books to be overtly anti-Christian. While it was a false statement and something the Twitter user made up, Jo made sure to point out how wrong they were.
For fans of the Harry Potter series, we know very well that Nicolas Flamel never died in the books. Yes he gave up the Sorcerer’s stone and knew that it would mean he would now, eventually, die but we never actually saw his death.
So this fan decided to say that he died at 666 years old (which is falsely reported on some Harry Potter websites but that means she had to look it up to try and shame Rowling with it). But Jo was done with people trolling her. She shared the tweet and explained that Flamel never died in the series and that if she was going to attack Rowling to read her books before trying to come after her.
Really, she is an icon. Most would have just ignore it but Jo gets some much hate from people that she is finally fighting back. And that’s glorious.
