“Kitten Bowl” is a feline catstravaganza presented in association with North Shore Animal League America (the nation’s largest no-kill shelter and animal adoption organization) and Last Hope Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. Hosted by Beth Stern, TV personality and national spokesperson for North Shore Animal League America, “Kitten Bowl” is a star-studded lineup that includes legendary New York Yankees radio voice John Sterling and award-winning reporter, sports analyst and commentator Mary Carillo as “Kitten Bowl’s” official play-by-play announcer, and Boomer Esiason as the Feline Football League’s (FFL) Commissioner. Name: Shorty

Position / Style: Center

Nickname: “Slingshot”

Demeanor: Overzealous

Favorite Film: “Slumcat Millionaire”

Quote: “Who you callin’ Shorty? Oh wait, that’s my name.”

I can’t believe they didn’t make a joke about Shorty having them apple-cat-tom jeans or boots with the fur. Instead of “Slingshot”, we should’ve named this cat “Bring-shot,” because we totally want to bring this kitten home. On a scale of 1-10, how cute is this little kitty? Obviously, 1 is adorable and 10 is like “Cause of death: way too cute.”

Name: Tony Slo-Mo

Position / Style: Quartercat

Nickname: “Big Tony”

Demeanor: Dedicated

Leads League in: Touchdown pawses

Favorite TV Show: MacGyfur

Quote: “Actions speak louder than mews.”

What is Tony Slo-Mo doing here? He didn’t make it to the Super Bowl! That’s alright. All kittens are welcome. (Well, the ones that like MacGyfur are slightly questionable, but look at those eyes!) Plus, the Last Hope Lions need this cute quartercat that leads the league in pawses. Touchdown pawses translate to points. And points translate to more treats and cuddles. As Tony’s favorite quote goes, actions speak louder than mews. So, cuddle on, Tony!
