Kitten Bowl IV: Meet the Kitten Line Up of the All-Star Teams
By Buckie Wells
“Kitten Bowl” is a feline catstravaganza presented in association with North Shore Animal League America (the nation’s largest no-kill shelter and animal adoption organization) and Last Hope Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. Hosted by Beth Stern, TV personality and national spokesperson for North Shore Animal League America, “Kitten Bowl” is a star-studded lineup that includes legendary New York Yankees radio voice John Sterling and award-winning reporter, sports analyst and commentator Mary Carillo as “Kitten Bowl’s” official play-by-play announcer, and Boomer Esiason as the Feline Football League’s (FFL) Commissioner. Name: Laser
Position / Style: Tailcat
Nickname: “Close Shave”
Demeanor: Intense
Hobby: Destroying couch cushions
Favorite Actress: Cat Blanchett
Quote: “I do appreciate a good tuna casserole.”
If you’ve seen the movie Carol, then you know that Laser shares the same expression as the movie’s young protagonist, Therese Belevit. Though, according to Laser’s bio, Laser prefers Carol herself, who is played by none other than Cat Blanchett. I wonder if Laser will be interested in seeing Ocean’s 8, even though we all know that most kittens don’t like water. So, the question is, does Laser hate water as much as Laser hates couch cushions?

Name: T-Wrecks
Position / Style: Furry Safety
Nickname: “The Beast”
Loves: Chasing his own tail
Hates: Catching it
Quote: “Can you smell what The Wrecks is cooking?”
As the most blatantly aggressive kitten of the bunch, T-Wrecks loves chasing his own tail. Though, he hates when he catches it because we all know the thrill is in the chase. Obviously, The Beast is a very formidable opponent on and off the field and would make an excellent kitten companion to anyone. And apparently, The Beast enjoys cooking and is really good at it. So, that’s a bonus!
