“Kitten Bowl” is a feline catstravaganza presented in association with North Shore Animal League America (the nation’s largest no-kill shelter and animal adoption organization) and Last Hope Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. Hosted by Beth Stern, TV personality and national spokesperson for North Shore Animal League America, “Kitten Bowl” is a star-studded lineup that includes legendary New York Yankees radio voice John Sterling and award-winning reporter, sports analyst and commentator Mary Carillo as “Kitten Bowl’s” official play-by-play announcer, and Boomer Esiason as the Feline Football League’s (FFL) Commissioner. It’s time for the Kitten Bowl, Hallmark’s annual Super Bowl prerequisite! Even cuter than the puppy bowl, here are 40 of the cutest kitten all-stars.

Out of all the major sporting events that happen throughout the year, none are nearly as cute as the Kitten Bowl. It’s simply a matter of fact. While the Puppy Bowl is certainly a good time, kittens are smaller and puffier. And smaller and puffier means cuter and cuddlier.

However, it’s important to remember that the point of the Kitten Bowl is not to win, but to showcase all the marvelous kittens that are available for adoption. As we’ve discussed in the past, the best way to brighten your year is open your home to more furry friends. In case you didn’t know, kittens make excellent pets. They’re quiet, low maintenance, and go wherever the body heat takes them.

So, as you scroll through this wonderful slideshow of kitten quarterbacks — kitten-terbacks? Cat-terbacks? — and find yourself going, “Awww!”, then it might be time to pick up some kitty litter and head to a shelter for a kitten.

And don’t forget to tune into Hallmark’s Kitten Bowl IV this Sunday at 12 p.m. ET to catch all the cat-letes in action!

Now, let’s meet our first team, Boomer’s Bobcats!
