Watch LEGO Batman Give a Tour of Wayne Manor ‘MTV Cribs’ Style

As creative as the set pieces seen in each trailer, The LEGO Batman Movie’s marketing team continues to come up with new and refreshingly amusing TV spots.

“My name is Bruce Wayne, and this is my crib.”

Before MTV was a cesspool of teen drama and reality shows, they had this show MTV Cribs where celebrities showed off their extravagant homes on camera. Usually, they showed off their fish tank and / or home theater, plus their stocked up fridge and rented cars. Occasionally, they totally lied about which possessions belonged to them and which ones didn’t. But it was still fun to pretend that your favorite celebrity kept a 24K gold rocket launcher that was loaded with giants wads of bubblegum next to their bed like it was a normal thing.

In any case, The LEGO Batman Movie decided to channel the days of yore and take us around Bruce Wayne’s crib. Well, Batman and Bruce’s crib, since they live together as two separate entities. At least, that’s what they want us to believe.

Watch the episode of “Gotham Cribs” below:

Obviously, the point is to snicker at how obnoxiously “tasteful and insanely extravagant” Wayne Manor is. For example, he has two fireplaces side-by-side and a “majestic” swimming pool filled with dolphins. We also take a tour of the bat-room, which is where Bruce catches up on his sleep. However, this room contains a lot of gym equipment, which is kind of weird. But not any weirder than Batman hanging upside down in the corner like a bat. Can we get Ben Affleck to do that or is it only animated DC properties that get all the good stuff?

The episode concludes with Batman thanking everyone for stopping by and a conclusive mic drop as Alfred and Robin nearly spoil Batman’s secret.
