Here are 25 of the Best Super Bowl Half Time Performances Ever
18. The Black Eyed Peas
The Black Eyed Peas are performers. From their start, we all knew they were always going to be fun to watch and their Super Bowl halftime performance is no different. Starting with the song that plagued high school football games in 2010, the 2011 performance was just as we all imagined.
They were all decked out in futuristic clothing and dancing with lighting effects and the whole thing was just very much them.
That is until Slash showed up and Fergie channeled her inner Axel Rose to sing “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N Roses. After that, you’d think they’d be done right? Wrong. Usher then flew in from the sky to sing “O.M.G” while the rest of the Black Eyed Peas left Will.i.am on stage with him. But for those who don’t remember what song put the Black Eyed Peas on the map, they reminded you with the end of the performance.
Well, that’s not entirely true. They finished it with a terrible cover of “I Had the Time of my Life” but we’ll pretend it ended with “Where is the Love?” because that is still the best Black Eyed Peas song to exist.
Overall it was pretty good and oh so very much the Black Eyed Peas.
