Here are 25 of the Best Super Bowl Half Time Performances Ever
20. The Blues Brothers
Guys, the Blues Brothers performed the Super Bowl. Like honestly, nothing else about this performance should matter. I mean, it was great because it was ZZ Top and the Blues Brothers but no really, it is Jim Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, and John Goodman giving us comedy gold.
Whoever thought this up was clearly in it for the fans of the Blues Brothers and nothing else. But really, no one should complain. It was so wonderful and it is just sad that John Belushi wasn’t around to be a part of it.
They bring James Brown out and of course he put on an amazing performance as did ZZ Top. It was just a fun time all around.
Maybe it’s because I grew up watching The Blues Brothers and live in a family where these men as well as ZZ Top and James Brown mean a lot but this is just incredible. There isn’t some forced thing that no one wants to see, it just works and makes the audience laugh and enjoy the halftime performance.
Really I think it was just one of the smarter shows. Now everything is so spectacle that we miss things like this. Just the Blues Brothers singing “Soul Man”.
