4. Aerosmith, N’Sync, and Britney Spears

While there are much better performances (see Prince and Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney) this one gets the fourth slot from the sheer “what was going on in 2001” vibe it has. For those who were not a young girl in the early 2000s, this is N’Sync. With members Joey Fatone, JC Chavez, Lance Bass, Justin Timberlake and that Chris guy with the skunk hair, they were the epitome of our lives back then.

And when they broke up we thought our world was ending. But we will always have this performance that goes from “Bye Bye Bye” to “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” because Armageddon was a big deal back then.

Really, it just makes absolutely no sense. Britney Spears shows up too but it goes back and forth between N’Sync and Aerosmith and who thought that was a great idea? I mean both have amazing songs as seen with “Jaded” and “Dirty Pop” but like they’re completely different genres of music and one is a boy band and one is a rock band.

But then Britney Spears came on to sing “Walk this Way” and it got even weirder so guess you can’t figure out what is going on in all of them.
