25. Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye

For a while, Disney was in charge of the half time show it appears. Especially with this bit of a trainwreck. You might be looking at this and thinking to yourself, “well, Indiana Jones must have just come out. That’s why this exists.” And to that I say “Please look at the year this was the performance. 1995.

Incase you’re not a nerd like me, I’ll like you in one a secret: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade came out in 1989 and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came out in 2008. So why, I ask you, did this half time show exist? Because of the Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland.

No really, that’s why this is a thing. In March of 1995, the ride opened and, to be honest, it is still a super fun adventure. You follow Indy through varies tasks in a jeep and you even get chased by a huge snake and a giant boulder!

So in honor of the rides opening, this Super Bowl half time performance became a reality. And honestly, this list wouldn’t be completely without it. It is absolutely insane and it’s fun to talk about! Never in a million years did I think there’d be an Indiana Jones inspired performance and yet here we are.
