Here are 25 of the Best Super Bowl Half Time Performances Ever
14. Coldplay
Never in my life did I think I’d live to see the day that the Super Bowl halftime show started with “Yellow”. For those who don’t know, the song is definitely not Super Bowl material and yet here we are. The Coldplay performance got a lot of slack last year.
Why? I still don’t really know. I love Coldplay and the performance was sweet. There were children playing violin and Chris Martin said “Wherever you are, whoever you are, we’re in this together.” Too bad he had no idea what the world would be like this Super Bowl season but hey, at least it was a message!
There was a weird flower dance moment and the whole this was very psychedelic. But it was strange that in the middle of their performance, they had a montage to the great Super Bowl performances of days past.
And then it led to, again, a song I never thought I’d ever hear at a Super Bowl performance. “Fix You” is inspiring and makes us all feel things but really? At the Super Bowl? But it was cool because he started singing the songs of the artists past to reveal Beyonce, Bruno Mars and more singing their classics mashed with “Fix You”.
Honestly, it was really inspirational.
