Here are 25 of the Best Super Bowl Half Time Performances Ever
15. Katy Perry
Everyone remembers Left Shark. You know, it might not be for the best reason, but if you see someone in a shark costume, you better believe that they’re being the Left Shark from Katy Perry’s halftime performance.
For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking, Katy sings “Teenage Dream”, there was a dancer who just clearly was off and thus Left Shark was born.
The performance started with her standing on a giant walking lion. Did we have any doubts that this was going to be insane? And that was just the first song. She was singing “Roar” so it fit but also how much was that gold lion for her to stand on?
The whole thing became jungle and chess themed? Honestly it is still confusing what was going on. It went from a lion to a chess board as Katy sang “Dark Horse”. I guess the dark horse was from the chess game?
But then Lenny Kravitz sang “I Kissed a Girl” and it made zero sense since he is a man who is straight and the whole point of the song is for a girl to be basic. But you know, not everyone is perfect and this is high up on the list for the general “what was going on” of it all.
