Stephen Colbert & Jon Stewart Talk Executive Orders and Sally Yates

Trump’s been in office for 11 days and already has countless executive orders out so of course, Stephen Colbert has a few words about it.

Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart tackle the latest political issues that come with a Trump presidency on The Late Show last night. The opening clip was definitely a keeper though:

One of my favorite comments under this video: “I want to laugh, but… Jesus Christ, Trump is a sociopath with no empathy.” I mean, this person’s not wrong.

After poking fun at Trump getting to use his favorite catchphrase again, they welcomed a familiar face who would know exactly what to say to get us all through this. Jon Stewart, the talk show host we all need right now. Watch that clip here:

Jon Stewart pretty much nails it here. “The presidency is supposed to age the president, not the public,” he says before going into a full monologue of why Trump needs to get the hell out of office already.

It’s pretty clear that we need Jon Stewart back on late night, and I’m not the only one who thinks this. Look at these comments on the YouTube channel:

There is no time better than now for Jon Stewart to get back on TV.

Jon, you have forsaken us at a time when we most needed you! Please come back, Lord!

Who else want’s Jon Stewart to come out of retirement?

Can some of us at least agree that Jon Stewart and Keith Olberman both need to be back in the mainstream immediately!?!?

We need you, Jon- now more than ever! Come back? We’ll do better.

At least a Trump presidency is provided our late night show’s with quality content. That counts for something, I guess.
