If the Super Bowl is too aggressive for you and you’re not feeling the Puppy Bowl, you may ‘purr-fer’ this year’s Kitten Bowl IV on the Hallmark Channel!

The fuzziest little felines are donning their helmets and putting on the eye-black as they get ready for the Hallmark Channel’s annual adorable event: The Kitten Bowl IV! Kitties from four teams — the Last Hope Lions, Boomer’s Bobcats, the Home & Friendly Felines, and the Northshore Bengals — will go whisker to whisker in this year’s showdown. Watch as these adorable kitties play, swipe, and snooze on the field right before the big Super Bowl game.

This is the fourth year the Hallmark Channel is setting up the special event. The main stage was already set back in September for taping, but this year a live stream of all the kitties featured will run concurrent to the show. If you’re impatient and don’t want to wait to see all the fur-flying action in real time, you can check out some cuddly clips here.

TV personality Beth Stern is back to host Kitten Bowl IV, along with reporter Mary Carillo, announcer Michael Stern, and commissioner Boomer Esiason. They’ll be there every step of the way as the claws come out and these ‘cat-letes’ compete for cuteness superiority.

The annual programming has resulted in thousands of cats and kitties being adopted through local shelters. North Shore Animal League hosts kitten and cat adoption events all over the country leading up to the big game. If you’re in the market for a cuddly new pal, you can see where the next adoption event is if you click here.
