On this week’s episode of How to Get Away with Murder, the Keating Four have to deal with threats on all sides, and things won’t improve for Annalise.
How to Get Away with Murder has grown a bit dark lately, hasn’t it? That all started before Wes’ corpse showed up in the medical examiner’s office, by the way. Just remember what Annalise tried to convince Frank to do during that episode that actually had an additional content warning. Now we have our putative protagonist in Annalise spending time in prison. Meanwhile, her remaining students have started punching each other in the face. (Okay, that was one time, but that was also last week.)
On this week’s episode of the show, things probably won’t improve.
Per ABC, here’s the synopsis for this week’s episode: “Not Everything’s About Annalise”. What an interesting title:
"“Annalise reaches her breaking point as she struggles to adapt to her new reality behind bars, but a surprise confession to Wes’ murder could change everything. Meanwhile, the K4 find their own freedom at risk as they discover the D.A.’s investigation is much bigger than they imagined.”"
Since we saw Frank confessing to Wes’ murder at the end of last week’s episode, that’s probably the surprise confession. Additionally, Annalise didn’t have a great time in prison already, but now that she has no shot of bail, things won’t improve for her at all. Could Frank’s confession actually spring her from jail? That remains to be seen, especially since the second sentence makes it seem as though Oliver isn’t the only person who has started to poke into the secrets surrounding Annalise and the Keating Four.
With her in such a poor mental state, too, it will be tough for Annalise to coordinate any sort of cover-up or defense. We’ve already seen that Bonnie’s skill doesn’t match her mentor’s. That’s a problem, too.
