“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” Season 4 Episode 12 Live Stream: Watch Online

Patton Oswalt returns to “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” as the Agent Koenigs. Here’s where you can watch “Hot Potato Soup” online.

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD tends to have fun cameos. From Nick Fury to the Lady Sif, we’ve had some fun brushes with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

But sometimes their “cameos” are just too nerdy to want to leave alone for too long. Case in point: Patton Oswalt and his Agent Koenigs. If you need Oswalt’s nerd credit, may I suggest his filibuster from Parks and Recreation. He goes on a completely ad-libbed eight minute rant about how Star Wars Episode VII should go (well before The Force Awakens even had a title).

Back to Agents of SHIELD. His Agent Koenigs were all the rage in the first few seasons, popping up here and there and joking about how many of them there actually were.

Here’s the official synopsis:

"Agents Sam and Billy Koenig (Patton Oswalt) are hunted down to get at the Darkhold book, and only Coulson and the team can save them before the clock ticks out."

Now that we have life model decoys as an actual thing, might the Koenigs be an early iteration of the technology? It makes sense, as they all look and act exactly the same, more than if they were just twins/triplets/etc. If that’s the case, it’ll be interesting to see who created them and what other fun cameos may come of it.

We’ll also see if anyone starts to figure out that LMD!May isn’t the real Melinda May. Hopefully before she and Coulson get too involved, or the heartache might be too much.
