James Corden On Donald Trump’s Immigration Ban This Week

A lot of celebrities had a lot to say about Trump’s immigration ban but James Corden’s on The Late Late Show was the most fascinating.

During the beginning of Monday Night’s The Late Late Show with James Corden, it started with a clip of Corden arriving at the airport. He pulls up in a car. He checks in. He goes through security. He enjoys a grilled cheese. He gets his ticket scanned. He boards the aircraft. He travels. It’s easy. Like most have it on any normal day.

At first, it’s a little confusing as to where this whole thing is going. Why is he showing us this? But then at the end, there’s a message.

Catch the full clip here:

The message at the end reads:

“Today, James flew out of Los Angeles.

So all of our shows this week have been pre-taped.

Freedom of movement should be this easy

for all illegal immigrants.

Not just the white and Christian ones.”

Chills. Goosebumps. This was his response to Trump’s executive order on immigration from specific countries this weekend. He also expressed his thoughts on twitter:

Corden, like many other celebrities expressed their disgust for this new law that went into action a few days ago and caused absolute havoc at airports across the nation, and the world. Protests were heavy and showed no sign of dying down until every single person who was detained was released.

It’s easy for celebrities to stay quiet during these times but with voices as loud as theirs, it’s good to see that some won’t just sit back and watch. Everyone should take notes from James Corden this week, and vow to do better.
