Here are 13 Actors We Think Can Play the Next Doctor on Doctor Who

8. Freida Pinto

Freida Pinto has been around for quite some time now but we all love her. Her role in Slumdog Millionaire is still talked about to this day and she is just an amazingly sweet and talented actress. So yes, having her as the Doctor would be great.

While Doctor Who is progressive for its themes and its spin-off shows, it is pretty much a cookie-cutter layout. White man leads around a hot companion and sometimes they pick up another dude. It has been that way for a while and a lot of fans don’t want it to change.

Personally, it’d be cooler to see two women traveling through space and getting into dilemmas they have to try and solve together. But I think the closest we’ll ever get to that is Me and Clara at the end of season 9.

So while the hope may be futile, we can pray that the casting gods of Doctor Who see Freida Pinto and think “oh maybe she’d make a great Doctor”. Because she would.

Just imagine this lovely woman out there in space showing compassion to the aliens, it’d be a wonderful show to watch and we’d all be happy to tune in.
