5. Diego Luna

Okay hear me out: Yes, this is a guilty pleasure choice but also how cute would it be? Diego Luna gets so into every role he takes on, you know he’d watch every bit of Doctor Who he could get his hands on and never stop talking about it.

Look at how he was with the promotion for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story or even with The Book of Life. He gets so into everything he’s doing and wants to talk to everyone about it. So with taking on the role of the Doctor, he would totally pour his heart into it.

Also his family is British so I’m sure he could manage a British accent if they wanted it so badly. But really, after Capaldi’s Scottish accent, the door is open for any kind of accent to take on the role. So why not have his wonderfully thick Mexican accent in the role!

So while this pick is definitely because I love Diego Luna, it would be a great thing to see for Doctor Who. That and again, let’s be real, they’re probably not going to cast a woman as much as we want them to so at least give us a man we want to see in the role, right?
