9. Naomie Harris

Naomie Harris is pretty popular right now. She is in the Oscar nominated film Moonlight, she starred alongside Will Smith in Collateral Beauty and she’d make an incredible Doctor on Doctor Who.

She’s an action star (we’ve seen that much in her turn as a Bond girl in Skyfall) and she’s British so she’s already got two things going for her. That and Naomie is just an amazing role model for young girls everywhere.

Something the show has really lacked is a woman whose life was not completely dependent on the Doctor. They’ve all been brave women who fight for their beliefs but they always are pining after the Doctor and leave their family behind for him.

So why not flip that? Why not have a man leaving everything behind to travel with Naomie Harris as the Doctor? I mean, it’d be believable, that’s for sure. Because really anyone would leave home to go travel space with Naomie Harris. And if you wouldn’t, that’s a lie.

So hopefully they consider her for the role. She is currently the talk of the town and she has Oscar buzz around her already. Let’s get a talented woman of color in the role and make all our dreams come true.
