Here are 13 Actors We Think Can Play the Next Doctor on Doctor Who

Doctor Who is a show about change and that means that the Doctor never remains the same for very long. And here’s who we think should be the 13th Doctor!

Doctor Who is a series of continual change and that means that our favorites will leave us. When David Tennant left, many thought they could never love the show again. Then Matt Smith swept in and stole our hearts away. When he literally aged out of playing the eleventh Doctor (no really, that’s the plot of his regeneration), Peter Capaldi stepped in.

Now with Capaldi, no one thought he’d do a bad job. Everyone was pretty unanimous on his abilities as an actor. (The writing of the show is a completely different story but everyone, pretty much, was on board with the choice for the twelfth Doctor.)

But now, it seems, we shall have a thirteenth. Peter Capaldi will be leaving Doctor Who after the 2017 Christmas special and in the words of my brother “It happens at Christmas because Christmas is a time of renewal”.

So we’re going to be looking at 13 actors we think should take on the role of the Doctor. Get it? 13 because, you know, he’s now on his thirteenth regeneration? (Well sort of. The War Doctor makes this 14 and wow this show is confusing.)

From Natalie Dormer to Matt Smith a second time round, these are the people we want to see take on our beloved Doctor!
