An inventor from Hong Kong created a clear “bubble bowl” for cat lovers to spend hours admiring their cozy feline friends!
If you’re looking to invest your money somewhere – besides countless cups of java – then back this new project made especially for cat lovers worldwide. The transparent ‘Bubble Bowl’ or ‘Dim Dim’ was created by Yan Law, a talented inventor and “ailurophile“ from Hong Kong.
According to the Bored Panda post, the ‘Dim Dim’ is an ideal lair for your kitty to spend hours sleeping, playing, and planning world domination. Even better is the transparency. You can sit and admire every detail of your cute kitty all day long.
The bowl is made from acrylic with three sturdy wires attached. It functions as a chair, bed and swing by making simple adjustments. For example, the bowl can be removed from the wire harness and placed anywhere in your home for your cat’s enjoyment. Place the bowl by a warm, sun drenched spot or right on your bed or lap if you want kitty close by.
Is the ‘Bubble Bowl’ safe?
Law assures that the bubble bowl is safe for kitty on the Kickstarter page. Acrylic or ‘Plexiglass’ is a more safe, transparent material compared to glass. It’s stronger and more durable and will not shatter or create sharp edges. In addition, acrylic is much lighter than glass and clearer as well.
The wire rope is incredibly durable and strong. So, you wont have to worry about kitty trying to chew threw the rope and damaging the structure.
Law says that most small/medium sized cats should fit in the bubble bowl with ample room. A larger bowl for fatter/bigger breeds of cats could be in the works if the demand is there.
