An Australian makeup artist painted a dreamy nighttime masterpiece of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry on her chest and it’s wicked!
Georgina Ryland, a makeup artist and body paint enthusiast, spent five hours creating the iconic Hogwarts landscape. Ryland used a combination of makeup and body paint to establish the look which she meticulously applied to her chest.
"“This look is inspired by a scene from ‘Harry Potter and the [Sorcerer’s] Stone’,”Ryland wrote in a YouTube description of the look. “It took roughly five hours to paint but I could have happily gone for ten hours! It was challenging but fun to try it in this painterly style.”"
Ryland also uploaded a timelapse video showing her creative process. She also listed the complete color palette she used – which is a combination of lipsticks, eyeshadows, eyeliner and foundation.
Ryland recently spoke with Mashable, discussing her inspiration for the imaginative portrait of the iconic wizarding school.
"“I’ve always been a fan of Harry Potter and I have wanted to paint the castle for a while now,” Ryland shared. “I picked this particular reference image because it is so recognisable and has a very fantastical and magical feel to it.”"
The wizarding world isn’t the only fantasy world Ryland has explored. She is known for numerous detailed, visionary body art. Just take a look at her instagram and you’ll see photo after photo of whimsical works of art.

This is the first time the award-winning artist used her unique talent to paint Hogwarts and we hope she is inspired to do more! I’d love to see her paint the Forbidden Forest or the Great Hall during Christmas! Maybe she’d fancy painting a Wizard’s Duel or a Quidditch match.
