What is with these Griffin women attracting suspiciously badass men? I’m not saying that Abby and Clarke changed Bellamy and Kane, respectfully, but I’m also not not saying that. Are you following?

Okay, let me explain. Bellamy and Kane start off in season 1 as fairly similar. They’re not in charge, but they want to be, and they begin to do some fairly questionable things to get to that point. They’re power hungry, a little egotistical, and to be frank, they’re afraid of people who get in the way.

Enter Abby and Clarke Griffin- powerhouse females, born to lead.

By the end of season 1, Bellamy begins to see Clarke in a new light. But I already talked about that, so let’s talk Kane. In my opinion, this all started after the culling on the ark, once they realized they killed 300 people for nothing. When it was mentioned that someone had to launch the stations manually to the ground, Kane offered to do it, out of guilt I assume. But then Jaha saves the day and launches them himself. Was this the beginning of Kane’s “redemption arc?”

Through season 2, his relationship with Abby explodes and I personally think that a lot of his character development is due to watching her. Like I said, these Griffin women got it goin’ on.
