11. His Chubby Childhood Past

Ellen has a great way of bringing that one picture from a stars childhood up that they don’t want the public to see. For Diego, that is his chubby past as a child on the cover of a magazine. It is so cute because he clearly was so proud of his Vanity Fair cover and had no idea where Ellen was going with it.

He thought she was going to talk about his new cover. Poor boy was accosted with his childhood cover that no one would have found (probably) had Ellen not brought it up. But that is part of her charm after all.

So Diego had to be subjected to his past. “It’s like you run away from your past. I crossed the border, I start to speak English to avoid going back to that.” He said as he stared at the cover that features both Diego and what is seemingly a picture of Gael as well.

They’re both super young in it but it is still adorable to see his reaction to the old picture. Diego Luna just seems like the kind of guy who wants everyone to forget when he was a chubby little kid but we love it and we love him.
