Leslie Knope is Real and is Leading the National Park Service Rebellion Against Trump

Parks and Recreation may have been a fictional show but it seems like Leslie Knope is angrily leading the rebellion of the Parks Service against Trump.

We clearly have learned nothing from Leslie Knope but maybe, just maybe, there is someone just like her in the National Park Service. Recently, with Trump trying to stop all protection to our globe with his anti-climate change ideals, parks are fighting back!

Well, the people who work for the NPS are fighting back.

So we decided to write a little bit of fanfiction on what it would be like if Leslie Knope really did still run the National Park Service. Because you know, this rebellion of the parks is definitely something Leslie Knope would do. And you can bet your bottom dollar that Ben Wyatt would be excitedly at her side.

Leslie Knope and her Fight Against Trump

“Oh I know what I’m going to do. Ben, give me my phone.” Leslie was sitting on their couch, one of her triplets snoozing in her arms. But that didn’t stop Knope from lashing out against her president. She’d find ways to get her parks to fight back against him.

“I want you to make me a Twitter account where I can start bashing Trump-”

“Leslie, I don’t think that’s the best-”

“Ben.” She wasn’t joking around and she wasn’t being over-dramatic. She had to fight for what she believed in, that’s the only thing she had left. She and Ben had walked in the Women’s March but she wasn’t going to stop there. Leslie Barbara Knope would fight Donald Trump with every ounce of energy she had left. And that was a lot of energy. Especially after eating JJ’s waffles.

While this is fun and in jest, we have to remember that these are also very real issues. Don’t be blinded by the jokes and the idiotic tweets from our President. Stand up and fight for what is right for the American people. Leslie would want you to.
