How to Get Away with Murder Mid-Season Premiere Synopsis: “We’re Bad People”

As How to Get Away with Murder returns, it sounds like the Keating Four have come to the conclusion that they’re not good people.

Now that Wes has died on How to Get Away with Murder, it’s time to rename Annalise Keating’s remaining law students to the Keating Four. Alternatively, we could add in Oliver, dub the new quintet the Keating Five 2.0 and have done with it. That doesn’t roll off the tongue quite as much, though.

For now, ABC seems to be going with the former option. This week marks the return of the show with an episode dubbed “We’re Bad People”.

We say that ABC’s in favor of the former because of this synopsis, straight from their episode page:

"“With Annalise in jail facing arson and first-degree murder charges, the D.A.’s office continues to build their case against her, and the police investigate what happened to Wes on the night of the house fire. Meanwhile, the Keating 4 try to cope with the devastating realization that one of their own is dead.”"

Just let Oliver be part of the group, HTGAWM! He’s committed enough crimes at this point, even if he hasn’t murdered anyone that we know about. (We haven’t cleared him of Wes’ murder yet. Sorry, Oliver, but everyone has to be a suspect.) We’ve also already seen Annalise’s trip to jail. She’ll wear a jumpsuit, share a cell, and have to deal with her fellow inmates knowing exactly who she is.

Presumably, the flashbacks for this half of the season will fill in what happened to Wes after he walked out of the police station and before his corpse was found in the house. Alternatively, we may flash forward yet again to a night in which the Keating Four, Annalise, Bonnie, and others hash out who killed him and why.
