25 reasons Arya should win the Iron Throne
2. She’s carved her own path in life
The days of needlepointing and wearing dresses may be over for Arya, but her adventures are just beginning. Arya never really knew what lay ahead for her. She went where she was meant to go, even if that sometimes meant going against her will. Her kind nature has carried her through any scenario, especially at Harrenhal, where who else but Tywin Lannister was able to recognize her potential.
But all these decisions were hers and hers alone. We’ve watched her grow from a defiant girl of ten into a teen who chooses to join an assassination school. She’s on a never-ending path of her own choosing, which is why she decided to end her training at the House of Black and White, or left The Hound bleeding out, since she wasn’t ready to cross him off her list.
Someone like Arya has to be very headstrong in life. She’s a survivor, and will do anything to keep afloat in an ever-changing world. But she accepts the consequences of her actions and will at least try to make the best of it. Let’s just hope the repercussions for killing Walder Frey don’t come back in the form of a gold lion to bite her in the butt.
