25 reasons Arya should win the Iron Throne
19. She’s precocious
Tywin says it right here in the Season 2 episode “A Man Without Honor.” Arya is too smart for her own good sometimes. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, Tywin can’t help but smirk when she tells him he’s not the first person to say that to her.
When you have as many experiences and travels under your belt as Arya does, it can age you pretty quickly. In this land, it’s not uncommon for children to grow up long before they’re ready to do so. Just ask Olly. But Arya never seems to see this as a burden. In fact, like we’ve said, she’s very adept to change and tries to roll with the punches as best she can.
Arya has seemed to figure herself out a little bit earlier than most of her younger counterparts in Westeros. Her scrappy nature has contributed to a hardened young lady who has no problem going toe-to-toe with someone twice her age. However, precociousness doesn’t always mean she’s correct in her actions, it just means she’ll take that extra risk to ruffle some feathers. Tywin taught Arya a very valuable lesson here: Know your limits and know when to keep your mouth shut. It can keep you alive.
