25 reasons Arya should win the Iron Throne
13. She makes the best of a bad situation
Adaptability is a very important skill in Westeros. It’s something Arya has had to learn from the moment she was brought to King’s Landing. We get to see this young lady never give up on herself no matter what situation she finds herself in.
Think back to the Season 5 finale “Mother’s Mercy,” when she was blinded for disobeying the Many-Faced God. She was forced to act as a beggar in the street, hoping for any bit of charity from the Braavosi. The Waif came back day after day to complete her training, even though she couldn’t see. But Arya never gave up and continued to fight back. We think on some level Arya knew her eyesight would return one day, so while she was blinded, she was going to stick it out and learn whatever she could.
Arya lives her life with very little complaining along the way. She may bicker and argue with everyone, but she doesn’t blame anyone else for the situations she ends up in. There’s always something to learn about one’s self day after day, and Arya is the kind of young woman who knows how to suss out a solution rather than keep harping on a problem.
