Our Fight Isn’t Over: Women’s March Announce 10 Actions in 100 Days

On January 21, 2017, millions of women (and men) came together across the world and marched towards a common goal, but our fight doesn’t end here.

You did it. We did it. Everyone who marched, everyone who spread the word, everyone who cheered from back home- we started a movement. But the movement isn’t over yet. “Now is not the time to hang up our marching shoes,” as noted on the Women’s March official website. So, they’re adding to their campaign.

10 Actions for the first 100 Days.

Every 10 days, a new goal will be set and accomplished by us. You can check them out here. The first action is to write to our Senators.

“Write a postcard to your Senators about what matters most to you – and how you’re going to continue to fight for it in the days, weeks and months ahead. We’re offering printable postcards for you to download.”

Like they said, they’re offering printable postcards, and you can find those here!

Then, write. Just write everything you’ve ever wanted to say.

“Write down your thoughts. Pour your heart out on any issue that you care about, whether it’s ending gender-based violence, reproductive rights and women’s health, LGBTQIA rights, worker’s rights, civil rights, immigrant rights, religious freedom, environmental justice or anything else.”

Before you send the postcard, make sure to take a picture and post it to social media, tagging #WhyIMarch. You can then find your senators address on their website, slap a stamp on the postcard, and drop it in the mailbox.

Day 1. Complete.

Make sure you sign up for their notifications (also conveniently found on their website) so you’ll know exactly what to do every 10 days! Are you marching on for the first 100 days with us?
