3. The Woman Texts Sherlock Still
The Woman, Irene Adler, is a focus point of many fans of Sherlock. For me, she’s one of my favorite characters and I want to see her return to the show. But the best part about her relationship with Sherlock is that she continually bothers him and wants him to love her and he tries to ignore her.
I say tries because in the final, it looked as if he had finally texted her back. When her ringtone went off on Sherlock’s birthday, it was like that familiar friend we all know and love. She loves Sherlock and while he doesn’t understand relationships and people, he clearly has feelings for Irene as well.
I just wish there was more interaction between Irene and Sherlock. But still, they clearly still talk to each other and that means a lot. Irene Adler is a fierce lady but she also, much like everyone else on the show, wants to protect Sherlock Holmes.
It’ll be interesting to see, if the show continues, whether or not they’ll bring Irene back for more than just a random moment. She’s one of the most beloved characters in the Sherlock Holmes canon so hopefully she’ll get to make her reappearance once more.
