Harry Potter and the Power of Connection it Leaves Behind

If you say Harry Potter in a crowded room, chances are someone will reach out to you and want to talk to you about it and that’s part of its gift to us.

Harry Potter is a very special thing to be a part of. It defined a generation and made us want to be the best we could possibly be. But now as adults, the book series we loved as kids has a weird way of making itself relevant still in our day to day lives.

It is a pretty safe bet that you can say Harry Potter in any room and someone will want to talk about it. Mainly because it was our childhood but also because it’s just fun to discuss still. You can talk about your favorite character and why or what book you love best. All of it still works but also brings us all closer together.

I truly think that is the most important part of the series. Yes, we learned amazing life lessons and it taught us how to deal with dark times in our real lives but it also gave us a sense of community. You can search for another fan of Harry Potter and talk for hours.

Other series also have that bond but there is just something different about these books. No one judges you or quizzes you when you say you love Harry Potter. They just accept that they found another witch or wizard to talk to and dive in.
