In a new interview and photo, How to Get Away with Murder fans can get a look at Annalise’s time in prison as well as some insights from the executive producer.
How to Get Away with Murder will finally return this week. Breathe your sighs of relief now, because the winter has been long and full of speculation on who exactly killed Wes. We did learn, though, that Annalise has been arrested for the murder as well as for torching her own house.
What does that mean? Well, it means that Ms. Keating will have to go to jail as a prisoner instead of as a legal representative.
Today, Entertainment Weekly posted a photo showing Annalise in her prison jumpsuit, which at least suits her in terms of color if nothing else. Check it out below.
EW also spoke to the show’s executive producer, Pete Nowalk. Pointedly, he says that the show won’t send her to solitary confinement, instead making a point about overcrowding by putting her in the more general population. In fact, she’ll share a cell with two other women. Additionally, it sounds like her reputation as a defense attorney will have an impact on how the other prisoners see and treat her. Perhaps she’ll even start up a mini legal aid clinic while behind bars in order to improve her reputation and earn herself some good behavior points?
After all, that’s what she did in order to keep the Keating 5 close to her and to improve her standing with the board of directors at Middleton Law School. Who’s to say it wouldn’t work again? (Okay, it might be a little more obvious this time around, which is why Annalise may also choose not to do it.)
How long will Annalise stay in prison? That remains to be seen.
