Anxiety Keeping You From the Women’s March? No Worries! Here’s What to Do
For people with anxiety, the Women’s March might be very frightening but don’t feel bad if you don’t want to go to it! There’s other things you can do!
Anxiety and the Women’s March is going to be a hard battle to win. If you’re someone like me, being anywhere near that many people at once with no cell service could drive you absolutely insane. So rather than feel guilty about it today, go ahead and do whatever it is that makes you feel better.
For me, I’m going to get my “I Rebel” tattoo today as my act of rebellion. But maybe that’s not what you want to do. Then watch your favorite movie or write that story you haven’t been able to. Today is about women and using their voices. So if you have to go to Twitter to make that count then do it.
Anxiety is hard to deal with and it is especially hard to deal with if you can’t handle big crowds. No one deserves to be uncomfortable today. This is about us and that means doing whatever we have to to feel better about what is happening in the world.
Even if your rebellion starts tomorrow, take today to do whatever it is that makes you the happiest you can be. Because we have to stand up and speak our minds. Marches just might not be how everyone can show their anger. Especially if big crowds upset them.
The Women’s march might not be for you and that is totally okay. Just remember to speak your mind.
